Urge — Poésie faute de temps is a collection of poetry fragments written by poets at various literacy levels. It brings forth the idea of limitless poetry. It was created collectively by the participants of Catherine Lavoie-Marcus’ weekly poetry workshop at the Carrefour d’éducation populaire in Pointe-Saint-Charles (2017-2018). Urge chronicles chosen moments from this adventure where participants rose against normative language. Private languages momentarily left their insular positions using active listening, a beautiful and immense wordless poem. The book is separated into two sections: readable and infra-readable. Readers from all walks of life can risk it all.
