As a follow-up to the film Le Cerf ou moi qui cède à l’espace, the performance Le Nil ou toi qui trace les frontières is also deeply rooted in the material. On one side, an enclosed humid space, relic of the past, in which there is a pond inhabited by dry clay bodies. On the other side, a vast exterior in hazy early morning where performers run and joyously jump around on a road near Bogota, Colombia. With this collaboration between Je suis Juio and two Colombian companies, Carretel Danza and Estantes Danza, Ariane Boulet continues her exploration of creating images of duality.
